Dr. Aung is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Her work in Cancer biology and cutaneous lesions has resulted in ~200 original publications in peer reviewed journals, over 10 book chapters and approximately 250 poster/platform presentations at national (USA) and international conferences as well as 15 intra- and extra-mural Grants.

Dr. Aung is an active member of more than 10 committees of multiple Pathology and Dermatopathology Societies, grant reviewers of 5 national and international societies including NIH, and an invited speaker/organizer/moderator in more than 75 national and international universities as well as conferences.

Dr. Aung is also the Director of the Oncologic Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program with 14 fellows and Site Director of Educational Rotation Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is a very passionate teacher and has mentored over 100 national and international residents, fellows and practicing physicians.
