“Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h. c. Dietmar Schmidt, MD, is a staff member in a private group practice for pathology in Trier, Germany. Dr. Schmidt has been involved in the practice of pathology for more than 40 years and has a special interest and expertise in gynecopathology, pediatric pathology and breast pathology. The research of Dr. Schmidt mainly focuses on cervical pathology and pathology of the endometrium. He has authored and co-authored over 240 peer reviewed scientific publications and book chapters. Prof. Schmidt is Past-President of the International Academy of Pathology (IAP). He was Co-President of the XXXI International Congress of the International Academy of Pathology and 28th Congress of the European Society of Pathology in Cologne/Germany, 25-29 September 2016.”
