Dr. Sabattini leads the Haematopathology Unit at Bologna University Hospital where she has worked for more than 25 years. The Unit is a referral centre in Italy and lymphoproliferative disorders and Phialdelphia negative myeloproliferative neoplasms are the main areas of interest and research. She is a co-founder and member of the Executive Committe of the Italian Haematopathology Group of the Italian Society of Pathologic Anatomy and Cytology and an active member of the European Association for Haematopathology and European Bone Marrow Working group since 1990 for which she contributed in the organization of international meetings and worshops such as those held in Lisbon, Instanbul, Milan, Munich, Dubrovnic. Dr. Sabattini has authored/ co-authored 227 peer-review papers.
