I am a board certified Cytopathologist and Molecular Pathologist, currently working as an associate professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. I completed my residency training in Anatomic Pathology, followed by fellowship trainings in Cytopathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology and joined the staff at MDACC in August 2012.
I am currently the Director of Molecular Cytopathology and my main research interests include the application of molecular diagnostics in cytology samples for targeted cancer therapy.
I serve as a member on several national committees and as a reviewer for several Pathology journals, and have authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of Pathology.
